Without a doubt, working as a summer camp counselor is one of the most rewarding things you may ever do in your life. You will have amazing oportunities to affect, change and make a lasting impact in the lives of children. You will learn things about yourself, that you never dreamed. Things that will have a profound impact on the rest of your life - what you're capable of, what inspires you, where you want your life's journey to take you. You will build some of the closest, most intense, and longest lasting relationships you'll ever know in your lifetime with some of the most fascinating people you'll ever encounter. You will laugh harder than you ever have. And you'll grow closer to God all the while.

All that, and you'll play 87 versions of tag, swim in the sun, eat great food, act outlandishly silly, and have an all around great time.

Now, working at Summer Camp isn't all fun and games. This job will entail some of the most challengeing work you will ever do, physically and mentally. You'll work longer hours than you ever thought possible, for very little pay, with little privacy, little rest, and little time for showering. You'll get blisters on your feet, and sunburn on your shoulders. You'll lose your patience and lose your voice. You'll be drenched in rainstorms, and parched in blazing summer heat.

And at the end of the summer, you'll swear that there's nothing in this world that could prevent you from doing it all over again, right here, right now.
