Retreat facilities at Dogwood Acres
Dogwood Acres is available for group gatherings such as retreats, workshops, outdoor recreation, worship services, team-building, and other special events. Churches, schools, civic clubs, non-profit organizations, and business groups are all welcome!
Retreat Cabins
Our 10 climate-controlled retreat cabins each hold up to 8 people and have 2 full bathrooms. Each cabin is divided in half to provide privacy for up to 4 people on each side. One lower bed in each cabin is a full-size bed for couples or for those who simply like a little more space! Our total capacity within cabins is 80 people
Monroe Lodge
Our newest building on property is the Monroe Lodge. This centrally located building has a small kitchenette and living room area with 4 individual bedrooms attached. All four bedrooms have private bathrooms and showers with the two on the right side having queen beds and the two on the left having two twins. The Monroe lodge sleeps a total of 8 people in total and allows for a more private escape for a smaller group or leaders of a larger group.
Koinonia Building
Our recently renovated Koinonia Building can accommodate meetings and activities of a wide variety. This multipurpose, climate-controlled space can seat up to 60 people around tables or 75 people on chairs. It has 2 bathrooms, a coffee station, and projection capabilities. It also has a deck for informal gatherings, soon to have deck chairs and fire pit for the cooler months
Bearss Building
Our Bearss Building is the perfect space for groups desiring a meeting space for up to 24 people. This climate-controlled building has 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a small lounge space. Behind this building is a scenic fire ring for when the meeting is over
Dining Hall
Our climate-controlled Dining Hall can comfortably seat up to 96 people, and we have plenty of firewood and coffee on hand! It is the percfect space for your group to gather for their meals and great conversation around the table. Enjoy our wonderfully prepared meals served right from the attached kitchen.
McGehee Chapel
Our Chapel offers worship in the round with a panoramic view of the surrounding area. The building can comfortably seat 70 (on 2 levels) and has a mounted projector screen. This is a great spot for any group to gather together in one spot and connect with each other. With its screened windows our chapel offers a great chance to reconnect with the creation around us and with the people gathered within.
Outdoor Amphitheater
We now have an additional outdoor worship space adjacent to the Bearss building, across the road from Cabin 4. It offers bench seating for 100 or more, a fire circle, and a small stage. The worship area has lighting for evening worship times and full sound system capabilities incorporated in the stage area.
